I can confidently say that Bucket Golf is one of the most fun, versatile, and surprisingly competitive games I’ve ever played. What started as a casual backyard activity quickly turned into something that my friends, family, and I now take very seriously—in the best way possible.
First off, the concept is genius. It takes the core elements of golf—skill, precision, strategy—and simplifies them into something that anyone can pick up and enjoy almost immediately. You don’t need to be good at golf to have a blast, but if you *are* skilled, it adds a whole new layer of competition. The balance between accessibility and challenge is absolutely perfect.
The setup is another huge win. Whether you’re in a backyard, at the beach, on a field, or even at a tailgate, you can customize the layout however you want. You can make it easy for beginners or create insanely challenging shots with obstacles, elevation changes, or long-distance targets. Every game feels different, which keeps it fresh and exciting every single time you play.
One of my favorite things about Bucket Golf is how social it is. It naturally brings people together—everyone is laughing, trash-talking, cheering, and celebrating great shots. It has that same magic as games like cornhole or spikeball where it becomes the center of attention at any gathering. Even people who say they “don’t play sports” end up getting hooked within minutes.
The competitive aspect is also way deeper than you’d expect. You start thinking about angles, spin, distance control, and even risk vs. reward. Do you go for the far bucket for big points or play it safe? That kind of decision-making adds real strategy and makes every shot feel important.
Durability and portability (if you’re using a set) are also huge positives. It’s easy to carry, quick to set up, and doesn’t require a ton of space or complicated rules. You can literally start playing within minutes.
But honestly, what makes Bucket Golf a 5-star game isn’t just how it plays—it’s how it *feels*. It creates those moments you remember: clutch shots, crazy comebacks, friendly rivalries, and nonstop laughter. It’s the kind of game where “just one more round” turns into playing for hours without even realizing it.
Overall, Bucket Golf is an absolute must-have for anyone who enjoys outdoor games, friendly competition, or just having a great time with people. It’s simple, creative, endlessly replayable, and ridiculously fun.
**Final verdict: 10/10 — one of the best backyard games ever made.**
Came right on time and fun
This is so fun. For games with my kids to good time with my buddies. Make your own course and rules and have a blast. Beers make it better hahaha. Great quality and definitely worth the money
I wanted to buy the nine hole bucket golf with clubs but it only comes with two clubs. It comes with 6 balls and two clubs. Just think if your croquet set came with six balls and two clubs!
I think there should be an option at checkout to add as many clubs as needed. As I type this review, bucket golf does not have kids 3+ right handed clubs for sale. Let me know when I can purchase what I need!
Good afternoon David,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for the thoughtful feedback, we really appreciate it! I completely understand what you mean about wanting additional clubs so everyone can join in on the fun.
The good news is that our Kids Clubs will be available again next week. Once they’re back in stock, you’ll be able to purchase the right-handed 3+ kids clubs separately. We also offer the option to purchase clubs à la carte, so you can add as many as you need to your Bucket Golf setup.
Thanks again for your patience, and please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. We’re excited to help you get everything you need for a great game!
Such fun!
